Moving weekend

Ok, where did I leave off? Oh yeah, Thursday...
Well, Friday morning I pretty much did a quick "final" clean of the main area floors while a guy came and cleaned the carpet upstairs. We told him we didn't care how they looked after, stains were not an issue - we just wanted them sanitized. He showed me the water he was pouring down the toilet at one point; it was completely black! It looked like tar going down the drain! He also told me after that he was more or less just blasting the dirt out because the suction tool wasn't cutting it.
I'm really looking forward to pulling these carpets out yet. It will probably be one of the last things we do though because we don't want new flooring to get wrecked while we work on the rest.

In the afternoon, I went and packed up at the farm house to prep for the next morning when all our help came. It wasn't much since the house was pretty well stocked. But our toiletries, food, a few dishes, things like that had come out of boxes.
Once the boys were home from school, my dad picked them up for a sleepover at their place. Not worrying if they're in the way, or making them meals etc, when we move is such a nice help!

Dustin came home with a big uhaul that evening, and he and his dad loaded it up with the contents of the garage while I helped my mother in law at a trade show with the jewellery she sells.

Saturday morning, we met all our hard working friends at the new place with the uhaul and the move officially started.
Trevor, Bryan, and Eric - THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!!
With their help, we got pretty well all the house contents moved in on Saturday, and over the next few days, we brought over the rest of the outdoor stuff.

Dustin's mom came Saturday afternoon and helped me get the boys rooms ready for their first night here. It's always my goal to have their rooms pretty much in order so it doesnt feel any more weird at at new house than it has to.

I didn't take any pictures of the move - but just imagine rooms full of boxes and that would be what a picture would have looked like :p
