April flew by us with GORGEOUS weather that had us out in the yard as much as possible, but now May has brought with it a lot of cool rainy days, and it's getting frustration. Poor Brad signed up for baseball this year and of the four baseball days there should have been already, he's only been able to play once!
Dustin survived the sale - those of you who live around here know what kind of mayhem it becomes there at the lumber yard. I was pretty worried about him when he started complaining of chest pains in the evenings. We attributed it to the stressful week at hand and he did his best to get as much sleep as possible when he wasn't at work. He was soooo exhausted!
Back to work the week after the sale, it had calmed down enough that he was feeling a lot less stressed, but his chest pains were still bothering him. He texted me one day to meet him at the ER in town where they ran blood tests, an EKG, and had an xray done. Everything except the xray came back normal. The xray showed pneumonia in both lungs! Yet Dustin didn't have a cough, fever, or any other symptom!
He was sent home with antibiotics and Dr. Hoff (whom we just love - what a great doctor!) said he would have a specialist have a look at the xrays the next day. We were later informed that the specialist did not think it was pneumonia, but Dr. Hoff wanted Dustin to stay on the antibiotics since there wasn't really an explanation for his xray results. Totally weird!
It must be some sort of infection though because he's 5 days into his meds and he's feeling a lot better. It's a mystery we may never figure out.
We planted our hedges this past weekend, it's something I've wanted to do since we moved into this house. And I'll admit, I prayed over every little bare-root plant we lovingly tucked into the ground. I should have been praying for my legs and rear not to seize up the way they did from being on my hands and knees all day, but I just didn't think of it. If you see me walking funny, there's your explanation!

Other than that, it's been the same ol' same old around here. I am still loving having my nephew and niece over a few days a week and our kids are doing great at school. We're eagerly awaiting the nice weather to return so we can start camping on the weekends and continue with more of our outdoor projects... (and the boys can ride their dirt bike and quad - this rain has really cut that off short!)
Oh, plus we are preparing for the community garage sale - mark May 29th on your calendars and stop by our place to say hi (and buy some of our clutter!!!;p
