Live in the Now

I've long wanted to get a tattoo - but the thought of walking around as an 'old lady' with it (when I was 15, that was a 30 year old - now that I'm 30, it's more like 80!) didn't appeal.

I asked a friend who has multiple tattoos over various parts of her body what she thinks about them for when she's older. She simply told me, "live in the now".

For our 12th anniversary, Dustin went with me and kept me company while I got my first tattoo (and I say 1st on purpose, I'm already considering another!). A Gladiolus flower on my foot. It's the August flower, appropriate for our anniversary. I absolutely LOVE it!
